Friday Focus Tracks & Saturday Sessions Schedules Announced

In addition to the 16 sessions we will be having on Saturday, we will be having two workshops or focused tracks.

These all day intensives are intended for two very specific groups of people: beginners wanting a complete introduction to WordPress from A to Z and professionals (or wannabe pros) that use WordPress.

These two tracks were originally planned as 2 hours workshops, but so many amazing and talented people wanted to pitch in that we expanded them to full day tracks. Everyone is welcome on Friday we just want to be sure you know what to expect. We couldn’t pass up the opportunity to have them share their amazing wealth of knowledge with you.

Registration will open at 8:00am on Friday, February 13th with opening remarks at 8:45am and the Friday Focus Tracks starting promptly at 9:00am.

Sponsor Spotlight: Organic Themes

What does WordCamp Maui and Organic Themes have in common? We are avid fans of WordPress AND Maui! Trust us, there is nothing better than getting our WordPress on amongst lush valleys, humpback whales and gorgeous sunsets. Seriously, what more could you ask for? Location, location, location!

Founders David Morgan and Jeff Milone combined the best of both worlds when they founded Organic Themes in the town of Lahaina in West Maui in 2009. Organic Themes offers a variety of professionally designed WordPress themes for artists, businesses and bloggers. They believe less is more in terms of design, which is evident in their clean and elegant designs.

WordCamp Maui is excited to have Organic Themes on board as a Kohola Sponsor. Thank you!

Sponsor Spotlight: Edible Hawaiian Islands

Let’s talk about food. Man (or woman) can’t live on WordPress alone. Sharing sustenance is also the perfect time to “talk story”: a local term meaning to verbally share stories with visitors, friends and ‘ohana (family).

As WordCamp is all about sharing and getting to know each other, we are pleased to introduce Nene sponsor, edible Hawaiian Islands, a publication whose mission is to talk story about locally sourced food. edible Hawaiian Islands shares the stories of people who grow, farm, ranch, fish and cook our food. Their stories inspire us through stunning photography, beautiful art and well-written words.

We extend a warm mahalo to edible Hawaiian Islands. We look forward to sharing a table with you at WordCamp in February.
