The Mayor’s Office of Economic Development (OED) promotes and nurtures sustainable economic development within Maui County consistent with the community’s needs and priorities. OED’s approach is to always be mindful of our number one industry and continue to find ways to enhance the visitor experience on Maui, while at the same time watching for new opportunities that will diversify our economy. We see those opportunities in local product manufacturing, the film industry, software development & technology and the development of a bigger sports industry.
